Late last year it was rumoured that actor Bradley Cooper was going to direct a movie and star singer and actress Beyonce.
However, that may not happen anymore as the project has fallen apart.
Looks like Beyoncé's chance for an Oscar or any other special award may not happen. The famous star had to back away from a rumored Hottentot Venus biopic after quick backlash from those who felt she isn't suited for the role. Well that's not shocking at all. Since every biopic film brings a lot of chaos and controversy. Well now a new rumor is surfacing the Internet, apparently her long-planned leading role in a remake of A Star Is Born is permanently on ice thanks to her diva demands.
According to Page Six, the Bradley Cooper-directed film, about a young woman whose dreams of stardom are helped by an aging icon, can't move forward with Beyonce as the lead because it can't afford her.
“Beyoncé wanted too much money, and Warner Bros. balked at her price. The production budget was also said to be an issue with the studio, so the project has fallen apart,” a source says. Another adds, “Bradley has started reading scripts for his next acting project. But the Star Is Born project remains in development and Bradley is still involved.”
Well that's some sad news as it is rumoured that Beyonce has been attached to the film since at least 2011, when Clint Eastwood was on board to direct, but the project reportedly got delayed when the 'Formation' singer got pregnant with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
As a result of this, Beyonce has been dropped from the movie. Although she won't be in any upcoming new movie projects she is still working hard and keeping busy. As she is now focusing on her new Formation tour.
