The 'My Best Friend' rapper Young Thug has got himself a new fan, in fact a legendary fan. Young Thug can now include Sir Elton John as more than just a fan. The two artists are now going to collaborate with each other.
So we will be hearing new music from the two of them.
Sir Elton John has a lot of love for the rapper Young Thug.
Sir Elton told Noisey:
“I heard a [Young Thug] track on Beats 1 and I loved it so much.”
In addition, at the end of last year in an interview, Sir Elton John admitted that he had not only heard of Young Thug but actually really liked his music. Thug and John recently had the chance to formally speak over FaceTime thanks to be connected through 300 Entertainment co-founder Lyor Cohen. However, it doesn’t seem like this alleged forthcoming collaboration will be a completely new record.
John reportedly sent Young Thug the instrumental to his 1975 classic “Rocket Man” for him to add his own touch to. Thug reportedly chose to sing rather than rap over the timeless hit. News of a “Rocket Man” remix with Young Thug may actually be much bigger news than Elton John and Young Thug creating a new track.
What do you think of this collaboration? However, Elton's music has been remixed a few times by hip hop artists such as Kanye West, Chipmunk and DJ Ironik.
