Daniel Craig 'to quit as James Bond after signing up for new American television series'. So who's going to be the next James Bond? I guess it's time to start guess who will be the next 007.
According to The Sun, the 47-year-old will star in Purity, which will run for several series of 20 episodes apiece after playing the secret agent for a decade.
A shocking thing to the Bond fans would be when Daniel Craig was being disrespectful to the franchise. He reportedly claimed he'd rather "slash his wrists" than play James Bond again. Ouch!
Furthermore, a source claimed just before the movie was released that 'They had problems initially with the script, Craig was injured on the set and needed knee surgery, and they were still doing re-shoots last month, even though the movie is out in weeks. It was a very difficult shoot, to say the least.'
Plus a Hollywood insider told PageSix
"Craig is pretentious and thinks he's better than Bond, that it doesn't give him the creative range he needs," "Plus he hasn't had a big hit movie outside of the franchise, and he blames that on Bond."Well Daniel Craig that doesn't seem to be very polite or professional at all.
Well moving onto the guessing game. Actor Idris Elba has been speculated to play the next James Bond, however, this caused a lot of controversy last year as the actor is black and not white as James Bond is a white man.
But Idris Elba said
"It's just a rumour, I have no idea".But hey Idris if you did play James Bond we could add this to your name list. First they call you Elba then Luther then Stringer and now Bond.
Don't worry Idris Elba isn't the only one on the guessing list. We have Damian Lewis, Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston.
