Rita Ora vs Roc Nation

Roc Nation is countersuing singer Rita Ora for $2.4million for apparently breaking her recording contract  just six weeks after she tried to sue them to get out of the deal.

Rita Ora sued Roc Nation for allegedly pushing her career to the side when they started taking on other individuals like professional athletes. However, Jay Z is denying this and mentioned that Roc Nation signed Rita in 2008 when she was unknown and invested millions in her career. In return she had to deliver 5 albums, but the label says it only got one - her debut album Ora was released in 2012.
However, the X Factor judge's original lawsuit in December 2015, claimed she completed new music for her second album but the label hadn't released it, instead focusing on representing other acts on its roster. But according to Roc Nation's lawsuit, the label has already spent more than $2.3million on marketing her second LP and the point of the lawsuit is to get the money back.

Is Rita heading towards fire?

Early days: She used to be his Hot Right Now protege that Jay Z would proudly promote as the next big thing. But now Roc Nation, the music label run by Jay Z, is suing Rita Ora after a long running dispute
The singer's attorney Howard King, claims Jay Z's already promised to release Rita from her contract, and this could mean the lawsuit could just go away.
Howard King said: "Jay Z has personally and graciously promised Rita complete freedom from Roc Nation, the details of which are now being finalised."
To make it even more juicy, it's been claimed that Rita's final decision for all of this was reportedly sparked by her feud with label mate Rihanna. Apparently, the two have not always got along with each other. Who knew?

According to The Sun newspaper the 'Body on Me' singer reportedly found out the'Work' star had been offered all the hit tracks before she was, even though she's still yet to make a follow-up to her 2012 debut.

In my opinion, I think Rihanna and Rita Ora should squish their feud and make a song together. That would be a dope collaboration, don't you think?
